Nitin Kohli
Nitin Kohli born in 1972, did his schooling from La Martiniere for Boys, Kolkata and B.Com (Hons) from St Xaviers College, Kolkata.
At the age of 19 while in 1st year of college he joined his family business Shenaz, a 65 seater restaurant off Park Street, Kolkata. Shenaz was started by his parents Sri Har Krishen Lal Kohli and Smt Nirmla Kohli in the year 1963. Nitin’s father was also President of TheFederations of Hotels & Restaurants Association of India (FHRAI).
In 1996, At the age of 24, he married Aditi and they have a daughter Nandini. Soon after marriage Nitin went on to establish and open restaurants in Kolkata by the name of Ivory, Shisha, Bistro By The Park and The Factory Outlet. Apart from this his company also launched Ivory Banquets and opened six restaurants in Singapore under the banner of Ivory & Go India. Nitin was one of the first in East India to go the franchise way and tied up with celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor to open their first restaurant Grain of Salt in Camac Street, Kolkata.
Nitin & Aditi learnt the Art and Science of Pranic Healing and both are authorised trainers. Aditi runs two Pranic Healing Centres in Kolkata by the name of Tree of Life. In 2010, Nitin also went on to become the Founder Managing Trustee of MCKS Pranic Healing Trust, West Bengal under which all Pranic Healing Centres and Instructors are associated in West Bengal.
In 2015 Nitin joined AmbujaNeotia Hospitality which is spread over five verticals: Social & Business Clubs, Casual Smart Dining, Delis & Cafes, QSR Formats and Boutique Hotels. He is currently the Whole Time Director of the company and brands such as: AltAir, Raajkutir, Montana Vista, EchHub, The Conclave, Club Verde, Afraa, Sonar Tori, The Orient, Afraa Delis & Creperie, Tea Junction and The Royal Bengal Room are managed under his direct supervision. The group is proud to have won over 50 hospitality awards.
He has recently been awarded the prestigious Professional Leader of the Year 2019 by the Indian Restaurant Congress at New Delhi and has also previously been recognized by FHRAI as Restaurateur of the Year.
Nitin has a keen interest in Theosophy - the study of Inner Sciences and understanding different levels of truth through Spirituality.
